Suspect Vincent Nutter, 22, has been taken into custody by the Snohomish County Violent Offenders Task Force following a call from a citizen who spotted the suspect walking down a nearby road. Nutter fled the area where the citizen had spotted him, then climbed 40 feet up into a tree near the 7000 block of 184th St SE. Law enforcement attempted to negotiate with him to climb down, but Nutter refused. Fire personnel from Fire District 7 arrived on scene and, using a fire hose, sprayed water up the tree. After a few blasts of water, the suspect willingly agreed to climb down the tree. He was taken into custody unharmed around 8:30 PM and will be booked into jail on his outstanding warrants. Other charges related to the stolen car in which fled from police earlier tonight, as well as his attempting to elude police, may be pending.
