LYNNWOOD, Washington — A man suspected of stealing a pick-up has been arrested after an hour-long foot pursuit and search.

A call came in from the 1400 block of 164th Street SW around 9 a.m. from a Sheriff’s Office volunteer who had checked the license plates of the stolen vehicle while on patrol.  The suspect was in the stolen pickup truck and then fled the vehicle when deputies arrived on-scene.

Sheriff’s Office K9 units and deputies located the suspect at the 14900 block of Larch Way and took him into custody around 10:15 a.m. During the search, a Sheriff’s Office sergeant fell and sustained minor injuries.

The suspect, 37, had outstanding warrants, including one for vehicle theft, and was taken to Swedish Medical Center for evaluation.
