Suspect in Shots Fired Incident Booked into Jail

everett, Wash. — Hans Hansen, the 43 year-old man arrested last Wednesday following a series of multiple shots fired incidents has been booked into the Snohomish County jail on two counts of 1st degree assault with a firearm and three counts of drive-by shooting.
In a statement given to detectives, Hansen said that after a series of negative events in his life, he wanted to die. He said he gathered several guns that he owned and intended to go to several locations and fire at cars or buildings to engage police in a gunfight. Hansen also admitted that he had at least eight firearms in his vehicle, including two AK-47s and one AR-15.
Prior to firing rounds into police vehicles and buildings that night, Hansen admitted to detectives that he also fired multiple rounds into an unoccupied building in an industrial park on the Mountain Loop Highway in Granite Falls.
Hansen is from Lake Stevens, not Granite Falls as previous press releases indicated.
