2nd Annual Snohomish County Children & Youth Mental Wellness Fair Announced


Who: For kids, their families, teachers, social service agencies, private sector, and other interested community members.


What:  The Snohomish County Mental Wellness Fair will be held each year as an opportunity for kids, youth and families to access and become educated on resources that will support/enable each individual to be resilient and well, have fun, and connect with others.


When: Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.


Where: Evergreen Middle School, 7621 Beverly Lane, Everett, WA 98203


Why:  The Snohomish County Mental Wellness Fair will be held each year as an opportunity for kids, youth and families to access and become educated on resources that will support/enable each individual to be resilient and well, have fun and connect with others.


Cost: FREE Event 



Details:  We have over 90 agencies represented; activities for kids; Art from Schack Art Center all day; Jovon Miller Dance Productions Hip Hop & Musical Theatre from 11-1 p.m.; free food; free fare bus service in the county provided by Everett Transit.


1.Resource Tables from 10 a.m.-3:00 p.m.


Over 90 agencies will provide information on mental wellness services for kids, youth, and more. Activities for kids, 3 on 3 basketball with police, Disney Movie Inside Out, food, free family photos.


2.FREE Workshops from 10:45 a.m. -3:00 p.m. No need to preregister


Houston Kraft, will speak from 1-2 p.m. He is a Trainer-Kindness Advocate and will be the keynote. He has spoken to over 500 schools.

Workshops will include: Parenting Young Kids, Attachment and Bonding, Positive Youth Development, Managing Screen Time, Bullying, Growing up GLBTQ, Healthy Relationships, How to Recognize: an Opioid Overdose, What to Do when You are Worried about Someone, Suicide Prevention, Cutting and Self-Harm, Signs and Symptoms of Depression and Anxiety, How to talk to kids about Drugs, etc.


3.Art Classes for kids, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre from 11:00 am-1:00 p.m. and Family Photos.
