What is a Basic Plan?
A basic plan is created when a licensed contractor submits a set of structural plans (approved to be used repetitively by all architects and/or engineers that provided structural design work on the plan) for review by Snohomish County plan reviewers. Once reviewed and approved, the basic plan remains on file at PDS and is valid for use by the contractor to request permits and construct the same house on any approved building lot in Snohomish County, until the next version of the International Residential Code (IRC) is effective.
