Born in Honolulu, Linda lived a “navy nomad” life, moving between D.C. and naval stations up and down the west coast. She settled for a while in Saratoga, California where she attended high school with Stephen Spielberg. After chasing Beatles across the country, Linda stopped in Santa Clara, to pursue a degree, a job, and a husband.
Her husband coaxed her to Chicago where she clerked for the civil service. Nearly struck (twice) by lightening, Linda bolted for Everett, Washington. There she began her career with Snohomish County that now spans more than 30 years – moving up from county commissioners, to county executive, to county parks.
Linda has choreographed and taught aerobics dance, and received Citizen of the Year recognition by the Snohomish Valley Rotary Club, for her work in developing the Snohomish Skate Park. When not having fun assisting park customers, she enjoys her semi-retirement traveling, skiing, and all things outdoors.
