Confidential Intermediaries
Background
The list of confidential intermediaries was compiled by Snohomish County Superior Court administration from individuals completing the application process. The process consists of providing the contact information on the confidential intermediaries public registry information, agreeing to and signing the performance standards as well as providing a copy of the training certificate per Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 26.33.343 to court administration.
Immunity
Snohomish County Superior Court has reviewed the documentation of the agencies and individuals on the list for compliance with state and local standards to provide these services. There is no supervisory, or contractual relationship, between those named on the list and Snohomish County Superior Court. Neither the Court, nor its employees, assumes any responsibility or liability for the actions of any person for injury or damage caused by or resulting from the action of a person selected from the list. Nor, does being on this list relieve from or lessen the responsibility or liability of the confidential intermediary or supervising agency for injury or damage resulting from worked performed by the confidential intermediary.
Complaints
A person may submit a written complaint regarding a confidential intermediary. Specify the conduct and the grounds for the complaint. Sanctions available to the Court for inappropriate conduct by the confidential intermediary include removal from the Snohomish County Superior Court confidential intermediary list. Process to be Added to the Registry
The Superior Court maintains a confidential intermediary registry, copies of certificates of training, and a signed statement of confidentiality for each person on the registry.
If you would like to be added to the registry, you must first be in compliance with RCW 26.33.343. The process requires submission of a completed agreement, which includes signature at the bottom of the confidentiality performance standards and a copy of your training certificate. Upon completion, please mail the required forms to the assistant administrator for Superior Court Operations at:
