Lodging Tax Advisory Committee
About the Board
This committee was established to review applications for funding from lodging taxes collected by the county, and make recommendations to the Council on those applications and related lodging tax issues. Per Chapter 67.28 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) the Committee comprises 5 members: the chair shall be an elected official of the County, two members must represent lodging establishments, two members must represent agencies or activities eligible to receive lodging tax funding. In addition, Chapter 4.41 of the Snohomish County Code (SCC) permits appointment of an ex officio (non-voting) representative to be drawn from a city in Snohomish County. Members are appointed at large by the Council. While there is no defined term of service, appointments are reviewed annually by Council.
As of March 9, 2020, the committee membership is full. Hoteliers or prospective recipients of funds who are interested in being considered for future vacancies are asked to submit a Snohomish County Boards and Commissions member application, which can be found here.

Hotel/Motel Small Fund Grant Application
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, there will not be the regularly scheduled Small Fund Grant Application Process for 2021. The County has decided to postpone the current application process and will review the situation in November and at that time decide if it will open up an application process for 2021 events/promotions. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we move through this unprecedented time.

The Workshop included a presentation by Tyler Chism, Principal of Everett-based Milltown Creative Company, who presented the final brand packages for each of the four regional brands, including the look and feel of the logos, colors, and how they will be used for marketing your region to visitors.
