Lodging Tax Advisory Committee
About the Board
This committee was established to review applications for funding from lodging taxes collected by the county, and make recommendations to the Council on those applications and related lodging tax issues. Per RCW 67.28 the Committee comprises 5 members: the chair shall be a County Councilmember, two members must represent lodging establishments, two members must represent agencies or activities eligible to receive lodging tax funding. In addition, Snohomish County Code 4.41 permits appointment of an ex officio (non-voting) representative to be drawn from a city in Snohomish County. Members are appointed at large by the Council. While there is no defined term of service, appointments are reviewed annually by Council.
As of 02/14/2018 all board positions have been filled. If future openings become available, a new notice will be posted. Hotel/Motel Small Fund Grant Application
Application Submission and Due Date
Submission period for the 2019 Hotel/Motel grant process is now closed. Submissions were due by August 31, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. at Willis Tucker Park, C/O Carol Peterson, 6705 Puget Park Drive, Snohomish WA 98296. Applications were reviewed by the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee at their meeting on September 17, 2018 and awards were recommended. All applicants have been notified of the Committee's decisions. All awards need final approval from County Council and the Executive before contracts will be drawn up. The next grant process will be open in June/July 2019 for the 2020 Hotel/Motel grant applications.

Meeting ScheduleRegular meetings are held in June, September and October of each year and special meetings are scheduled as needed.
The regular meetings are usually held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and are held at the Snohomish County Everett Campus.
