May 30, 2023 - Snohomish County residents are invited to bring up to 10 (car or pickup size) tires to the Cathcart Operations Center (8915 Cathcart Way in Snohomish) on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. Enter the facility at the light-controlled intersection of 83rd Ave SE and Cathcart Way and follow signs to the drop off area. 

This free event is only available to Snohomish County residents. Proof of residence is required so please bring some form of documentation, such as a state driver's license or ID card, vehicle registration, property tax statement, utility bill, etc. 

The County is limited to 7,000 tires for the day. Visit this page or Public Works' Facebook or Twitter pages for timely updates. As a reminder, tires may be recycled or disposed of throughout the year at many tire and recycling centers including County transfer stations and drop box locations for a fee.

Yard Waste/Clean Wood Collection Currently Suspended

Due to continuing rail service and container availability issues, resulting in the contamination of yard/ wood debris with garbage, we are suspending the acceptance of yard/ wood debris at County facilities until further notice. Please note we will continue to evaluate program options, but at this time do not have a definitive timeline as to when or if we will accept the material. Please continue to utilize alternate locations for composting and beneficial use of green waste. A list of those local businesses can be found by visiting
