Hazardous Waste Schedule
The week of Thanksgiving, the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will only be open Wednesday - November 25. They will be closed on Thursday - November 26, Friday - November 27, and Saturday -November 28.

Delays at Southwest Recycling and Transfer Station
During the month of November, Solid Waste customers may experience temporary slowdowns at the Southwest Recycling and Transfer Station in Mountlake Terrace. The county will be replacing both compactors at the facility during this time. The compactors will be replaced one at a time to avoid a complete disruption of service for residents.

Facial Coverings Requirements
Updated July 9, 2020: As a part of the Safe Start Washington Phased Reopening Plan and related directive issued by Governor Inslee on July 7, 2020 facial coverings are now required at all Snohomish County Solid Waste facilities. All customers, vendors, contractors and visitors are required to wear facial coverings. Customers refusing to wear a facial covering will be turned away and not allowed to utilize the facility. Please note that face coverings can be unsafe for individuals with certain health or medical issues. Those individuals are exempt from the requirement.
