During July 2014, the county's Road Maintenance staff repaired the embankment on Trombley Road just south of 183rd Drive SE.
Three quarters of the road bed was excavated and replaced with soil wrapped in layers of geofabric and covered with ecology blocks. The photo to the right shows an example of a geofabric-wrapped embankment before ecology blocks are placed. This is a newer technique used to add stability and erosion control to embankments.
The photo above shows a soil-wrapped embankment on another project before ecology blocks were put in place.
