PROJECT OVERVIEW
Completed in 2018
In 2017-2018, improvements were made to the southern portion of Lake Stickney Park. The improvements included:
- Accessible walking path network
- Lake-viewing mound with plaza
- Multi-purpose lawn/open space
- Integrated nature-themed play elements
- Picnic areas
- Parking lot enhancements
- Stormwater infrastructure improvements
- Wetland & habitat enhancement
Existing boulders, root wads and extra logs that were gathered from on-site during clearing and grading are being reused in the park or elsewhere within the Parks system.
