This project will evaluate the feasibility of design alternatives to address the public access, fish barrier and maintenance issues resulting from accumulated gravels within the culvert under the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. The study will consider ecology of the park including gulch erosivity, creek hydrology, coastal processes, vertebrate and invertebrate habitat; as well as practicality of alternatives including accessibility and universal design, user experience, funding, railroad impacts and climate change. Two community meetings, one agency/organization meeting and a permitting agency meeting are proposed. The anticipated completion date for the feasibility study is early summer 2015.
Upcoming Meetings :
