Beverly Park Road and 112th Street SW Pedestrian Facilities
Public Works will be upgrading existing curb ramps to current standards and installing Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) at the intersection of Beverly Park Road and 112th Street SW in the Everett area.
Center Road and Marino Avenue Pedestrian Facilities
This proposed project, in the Everett area, will add new sidewalk on the west side of Center Road from Alexander Road to Marino Avenue. The sidewalk will continue on the west side of Marino Avenue from Center Road to the back entrance of Fairmont Elementary School. A parking lane along the Marino Avenue stretch is also slated to be constructed.
4th Avenue W and 132nd Street SW Pedestrian Facilities
The proposed 4th Avenue W pedestrian facility improvements project, in the Everett area, includes a new sidewalk on the east side of 4th Avenue W from 134th Street SW to the south side of the Mariner Park and Ride entrance. Existing curb ramps will also be upgraded to current standards at the intersection of 4th Avenue W and 132nd Street SW.
10th Drive SE and 129th Street SE Pedestrian Facilities
Improvements in this area may include a new sidewalk and bike lane on the east side of 10th Drive SE from Elgin Way to 129th Street SE and a new sidewalk and planter along the south side of 129th Street SE from 10th Drive SE to 12th Drive SE.
Pedestrian improvements in the Bothell area include a proposed separated walkway on the south side of 196th Street SE from State Route (SR) 527 to 23rd Drive SE. Improvements will also be made at 22nd Avenue SE, 23rd Drive SE and 24th Drive SE.
The design of the pedestrian facilities is funded through Snohomish County’s Road Fund.
Community Transit is currently seeking a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant to fund construction of these projects. The remainder of construction costs will be funded by Snohomish County Road Fund.
