Beverly Park Road & 112th Street SW Pedestrian Facilities

Description

Public Works will be upgrading existing curb ramps to current standards and installing Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) at the intersection of Beverly Park Road and 112th Street SW in the Everett area.

Center Road and Marino Avenue Pedestrian Facilities

Description

Public Works is adding new sidewalk on the east and west side of Center Rd from Alexander Rd to Marino Ave. The sidewalk will continue north on the both sides of Marino Ave from Center Rd to the back entrance of Fairmont Elementary School. The intersection of Center Rd and Marino Ave will be reconfigured to improve safety and mobility. A parking lane along the Marino Avenue stretch is also slated to be constructed. Approximately 2,500 lineal feet of sidewalk and 13 new curb ramps will be constructed. This project will improve pedestrian access to Community Transit’s Green Line transit stops as well as pedestrian access to Fairmont Elementary School.

Swift II project area map - Center Road & Marino Avenue

4th Avenue W and 132nd Street SW Pedestrian Facilities

Description

The 4th Avenue W pedestrian facility improvements project includes a new sidewalk on the east side of 4th Avenue W from 134th Street SW to the south side of the Mariner Park and Ride entrance. Existing curb ramps will also be upgraded to current standards at the intersection of 4th Avenue W and 132nd Street SW.

Swift II project area map - 4th Ave W & 132nd St SW

10th Drive SE and 129th Street SE Pedestrian Facilities

Description

Improvements in this area  include a new sidewalk and bike lane on the east side of 10th Drive SE from Elgin Way to 129th Street SE and a new sidewalk along the south side of 129th Street SE from 10th Drive SE to 12th Drive SE.

Schedule

Construction is expected to occur in Spring/Summer 2019.

Swift II project area map - 10th Dr SE & 129th St SE

196th Street SE Pedestrian Facilities

Description

Pedestrian improvements in the Bothell area include a separated walkway on the south side of 196th Street SE from State Route (SR) 527 to 23rd Drive SE. Improvements will also be made at 22nd Avenue SE, 23rd Drive SE and 24th Drive SE.

Schedule

  • Construction is starting April 15 and is expected to be completed by the end of May.
  • Crews will be working from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Impact to Surrounding Area

  • Some single-land closures will be required during construction hours.
  • The road will be fully open outside of construction hours.

The design of the pedestrian facilities is funded through Snohomish County's Road Fund.

These projects are funded through a combination of a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant and the Snohomish County Road Fund.
