Stormwater Facility Retrofit Near 10900 Meridian Dr SE
Snohomish County Public Works, Surface Water Management Division, proposes modifying the existing storm water pond located at the intersection of Meridian Drive Southeast and 109th Place SE in order to reduce high flows downstream and improve water quality. The modifications will include excavation of the pond to provide additional storage capacity and deepen the permanent pool to encourage pollutant settling.
Additional work consists of constructing concrete retaining walls and a rockery that make up the pond walls and maintenance access ramp, installing fencing around the perimeter of the pond, and placing new storm water pipes and structures to and from the pond. In order to construct new curb and gutter, sidewalk, and a landscape buffer, approximately 12-feet of roadway width will be removed along the west side of 109th Place SE.
This project started June 4th, 2018 and is expected to last six weeks.
Signage and traffic control will be provided to route traffic around the construction site. No full road closure is anticipated.
