From January to March 2019, utilities will be doing intermittent utility relocation. This could cause single-lane closures.
The county proposes to rehabilitate the pavement on 196th St SE / Grannis Rd from 22nd Ave SE to 189th Pl SE. This project will also improve sight distance by regrading the existing profile of the road. Sidewalk ramps will be upgraded to meet ADA standards and a paved shoulder will be extended from 29th Ave SE to 193rd Pl SE.
This project is in the early design phase and construction is scheduled for 2019.
Snohomish County Public Works held a public meeting on June 27, 2017 to discuss four projects in this area. The projects were the 35th Ave SE - Phase II, 43rd Ave SE/Sunset Rd, 180th St SE Phase I and II, and 196th St SE/Grannis Rd. Staff was available to answer questions, review proposed improvements, and gather feedback on potential designs.
