The Litter Wranglers have cleaned more than 1,052 road miles and collected 10,554 bags of litter during the program's first two years.
Resident calls and emails about excessive litter in the unincorporated areas of Snohomish County have been steadily increasing. By creating the Litter Wranglers, county officials are working to curb the litter issue countywide this summer. The county hires six seasonal employees to staff the Litter Wranglers team from April through October.
The Litter Wranglers' purpose is to track resident complaints and pick up excessive litter on unincorporated Snohomish County roadways. This program will help to fulfill the county’s goal of ridding the areas of unsightly trash.
