Snohomish County rebuilt a section of Marine Drive, approximately a half mile south of the Stillaguamish River near Stanwood, during the summer of 2018. The project reconstructed an embankment along with a section of the road. Site maintenance had been conducted prior to the project in order to maintain safe road conditions.
This project was constructed during the summer of 2018.
The road was closed for six weeks for construction between the beginning of July and the end of August. Electronic road signs were setup onsite prior to and during construction. Directional signs were posted along a detour route.
This project was funded through the Snohomish County Road Fund.
