September 2019. This pair of photos illustrates the current Courthouse construction progress. Although both photos were taken on the same day, the photo on the left is of the east side of the addition, and the photo on the right shows the west side’s advanced development.
Window installation on the west side is about 75 percent complete. Around the windows, crews have applied “blue skin” water sealant and coats of dark grey weather and air barrier to the sheathing and insulation. The exterior walls eventually will be covered with concrete and metal paneling. Also on the west side, the concrete contractor continues to seal the boardform concrete from ground to ceiling with a finishing product to provide a more visually-consistent surface.
The view behind the open walls of the east-side elevation photo (left) shows framing on the stairwell has progressed to Level 4. At the photo’s center, the white boards with blue printing indicate that the framing contractor has begun to wall in the mechanical chase that will contain the HVAC risers.
