State Digital Archives Search Tips
For best search results, it is recommended that you have your Superior Court case number prior to entering the Digital Archives website. If you do not know your case number you can locate it at Washington Courts - Records Search.
On the "Search" screen use the drop down menu under the "Record Series" title and select "Superior Court Records" near the bottom of the list.
Next, select "Snohomish" under the "County" title and enter a case number in the "Case Number or Keywords" field, as indicated and select "Search." You will see search results below the "Record Series" column title (bottom of screen) and will see the "Snohomish County Superior Court Case Files, 1950-2013" hyperlink. Single click on that link to display the case docket/index. Note: Confirm that you have selected the correct county and case and follow viewing and purchasing instructions on the website.
"Keywords" search is also available; however, search parameters are limited to docket/index data (documents/images are not searchable). Results of "Keywords" searches may include several different cases with similar keywords, so it is important to confirm you are selecting the correct case.
To ensure you are receiving all of the documents associated with a case when using the "Keywords" search function, it is recommended you re-enter that case number in the "Case Number or Keywords" field, which will return only that case and associated documents.
