The term of jury service is different depending on which court location you have been summoned to appear. Always follow the instructions on your summons directing you to call the night or weekend before service to see if your group number needs to report to the court where you have been summoned to appear.
Superior Court's jury term is one week or one trial. A typical jury trial will last two to three days; however, some trials may be longer. Once you are sent to a courtroom the judge will inform you of the number of days a trial is expected to last. Court will usually be in session from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A 15-minute break is taken each morning and afternoon.
Everett Division's jury term is a two-day term held on Monday and Tuesday.
Cascade, Evergreen, and South divisions' jury terms are three-day terms held on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Not Selected For Trial
If you are not picked for a trial on the first day, you will be released from the courtroom and directed to report to the jury coordinator for further instructions.
