Lake Ballinger

Lake Ballinger is a 100 acre lake located within the cities of Mountlake Terrace and Edmonds. The lake has a maximum depth of 35 feet and an average depth of 15 feet. The watershed, or the land area that drains into the lake, covers 3250 acres.

The lake may be accessed through the City of Mountlake Terrace's Lake Ballinger Park. There is a public boat launch on the east side of Lake Ballinger, as shown on the bathymetric maps below. Internal combustion motors are not allowed on Lake Ballinger- see Snohomish County Code Title 12 and the Parks and Recreation Boating Regulations for more information.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) maintains informational pages for each lake in Washington that include: fish stocking schedules, fishing prospects calendars, and boat launch information.

Connect with Your Lake Community

Lake Ballinger does not have a formal lake association. You may be able to connect with other lake area residents by looking for a Lake Ballinger community group on NextDoor or Facebook. The Lake Ballinger McAleer Creek Watershed Forum is another way to connect with area landowners. The Forum is a multi-jurisdictional group that works together to address problems relating to water quality and storm water runoff. 

Lake Health and Additional Resources

Starting in 2019, the City of Mountlake Terrace and the City of Edmonds began contracting with the Snohomish County's Lake Management Program to conduct monthly water quality monitoring.
