Ruggs Lake

Ruggs Lake lies east of Interstate 5 just outside the Everett city limits. The surface area of the lake is 11 acres. The lake has a maximum depth of 16.1 feet and an average depth of 6.9 feet, making it one of the shallowest lakes in the county. In contrast to its small surface area, Ruggs Lake has a large, heavily developed watershed. Ruggs Lake has no public access.

Recreational Opportunities

Recreational activities are limited to Lake Residents.

Internal combustion motors are not allowed on Ruggs Lake - see Snohomish County Code Title 12 and the Parks and Recreation Boating Regulations for more information.

Ruggs Lake does not have a formal lake association. However, you may be able to connect with other lake area residents by looking for a Ruggs Lake community group on NextDoor or Facebook.

Lake Health and Additional Resources

As part of Snohomish County's Lake Management Program, County staff and volunteer lake monitors have been tracking the health of Ruggs Lake since 1996.
