Parks are for Everyone
Snohomish County Parks is committed to providing accessible outdoor recreation for everyone. Following the last update to ADA regulations, we conducted a comprehensive evaluation of our parks to determine accessibility as defined by Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). While many older facilities could be considered "access friendly", some fell short of the stringent requirements set forth by the ADA. Since then our park planners have been seeking to address these deficiencies by actively incorporating ADA-compliant campsites, tables, ramps, trails, docks and other features into older facilities while also incorporating amenities that meet current standards as we develop new parks and upgrade existing parks.
