Due to flooding, Snohomish County Public Works made repairs to three locations on Rivershore Rd in 2021 and made repairs on three additional locations on Riverview Rd and Rivershore Rd in 2022. The work consisted of embankment repairs and constructing a reinforced geogrid slope (soil wrap walls).
Work on locations 4-6 occurred in 2021.
Work on locations 1-3 were completed by fall 2022.
Work could only be completed during daylight hours and low or negative tides.
There were single-lane closures around the clock during construction. Traffic was controlled by a temporary traffic signal. Access was maintained for residents and emergency services.
Construction schedules are subject to change based on many factors that include: public safety; availability of funding, staffing, equipment and materials; right of way issues; permitting requirements; coordination with utilities and other agencies; soil conditions under roadway and seasonal changes.
