- Mt Loop Hwy, Goodman Crk - Darrington (2024)
Storm events in early 2020 heavily damaged the Goodman Creek culvert and Mountain Loop Highway seven miles east of Darrington. Snohomish County Public Works temporarily repaired the roadway and reduced traffic to a single lane. This repair project will replace the damaged culvert with a new bridge across Goodman Creek, restoring two traffic lanes to Mountain Loop highway and improving fish passage to Goodman Creek.
Traffic impacts will be updated as design and construction plans become finalized.
This project received $4 million in federal funding from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) – Emergency Relief (ER) program and the FHWA Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP).
Construction is expected to begin in 2024.
