- Williams Rd / Machias Cut-Off - Snohomish (2018)
Public Works completed improvements to the intersection of Machias Cutoff and Williams Road south of Lake Stevens. Improvements include widening Machias Cutoff at this intersection to provide a westbound left turn pocket that will provide an additional lane for vehicles waiting to turn left onto Williams Road while allowing through traffic to continue. The road shoulders were widened to 5 feet at the intersection. Additionally, the construction included the removal of vegetation to enhance sight distance, new guardrails, street lights and stormwater treatment. The work was done while minimizing impacts to critical areas near the intersection.
