Dedication Donations

Bench Donations


  • Benches are ordered from a distributor and the typical waiting period is 8-12 weeks. Benches are installed by park maintenance staff when scheduling and staffing allows.
  • Benches are six feet in length and made of concrete or recycled plastic. Benches are fixed to concrete footings.
  • Benches are ordered, assembled and installed by Parks Department staff. 
  • The cost to donate a bench is $2,200. This includes:
    The bench
    A 5”x7” Bronze Plaque flush-mounted to the bench back or into the concrete footing
    All labor for assembly and installation.

Picnic Table Donations


  • Picnic tables are ordered from a distributor and the typical waiting period is 8-12 weeks.  They are installed by park maintenance staff when scheduling and staffing allows.
  • The cost to donate for a picnic table is $3500.  This also includes:
  • Picnic table.
  • A 5x7” bronze plaque flush-mounted into the table top surface.
  • All labor for assembly and installation.

Tree Donations

  • Native and ornamental trees can be planted at most county parks. 
  • Tree selection and location is arranged between the donor and Parks Department staff.
  • Contact Thomas Hartzell to arrange a meeting with appropriate staff at the preferred park and site of your choice.

  • Parks Department staff has the final decision on the species, variety and location of the tree. 
  • The donated tree can be purchased either by Parks staff or the donor after staff approval of tree species and variety.
  • The planted tree will be over 6’ tall or have a stock diameter that is a minimum of 1-1/2".

Note: 
If the tree is not planted in an irrigated area please be aware that Park Rangers will not likely have time for watering and caring for newly planted trees. We recommend that donators help rangers with caring for trees to ensure their survival. The parks department is not responsible for replacing any trees that die from transplant shock or disease.

Markers for Donated Trees shall be placed adjacent to donated trees on concrete pads built and installed by parks department staff. The markers shall be 5”x7” bronze plaques. The wording will be of the donor’s choice besides wording that is prohibited by County Donation Policy found here.
