The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office has closed off an area in the Clearview neighborhood while they search for a suspect who they believed is armed and dangerous.  Deputies had attempted to serve the suspect, a 22 year-old white male, with a felony warrant for a previous weapons-related charge, when the suspect fled in a vehicle from the 7000 block of Interurban Ave at around 2:25 PM today.  Deputies followed until the suspect stopped his vehicle at the intersection of 180th St SE and James St, fleeing on foot.  The Sheriff’s Office has patrol and K-9 units actively searching for the suspect, with a helicopter is aiding search efforts  from above.

Residents in a 1 miles radius of the scene (from 180th St SE to 188th ST SE to 51st St to Hwy 9) have been asked to stay inside.  Several schools in the area are on lockdown.

Additional details will be released when they become available.
