Search and Rescue East of Arlington

Today at about 2:26 PM, several people called 911 to report two people, a male and a female, were in the Stillaguamish River near the 22400 block of SR 530 after their raft overturned.  Snohomish County Search and Rescue and Divers from the Marine Services Unit responded along with Fire District 25 personnel.  Both subjects were located and rescued from the river.  The female was transported by aid car and Airlift Northwest was requested for the male.  The ages and hometown of the two people involved is unknown at this time.

Shortly after this news release was sent out the male subject was pronounced dead at the scene.  There will be no further updates on this incident tonight.
