Swimming Accident Victim Survives

It has been confirmed that the victim in yesterday’s swimming accident in Lake Goodwin, east of Stanwood, has survived.  The 16 year-old male from Everett was pulled from the lake yesterday afternoon and transported to Providence Medical Center. No additional information about his current condition is known.

Swimming Incident Wenberg County Park

STANWOOD, Wash. – On July 7, 2013 at about 1:29 PM SNOPAC received a report of a 15 or 16 year old male who had been pulled from Lake Goodwin and was not breathing.  Reportedly a 15 year old passerby began CPR right away and continued life saving measures until fire and aid crews arrived.

Witnesses gave conflicting reports as to how long the young man was submerged.  It is believed the male was visiting the park with family and or friends and it is not known why he began having trouble in the water this incident did not any water craft.

The victim was transported by aid car to Providence Medical Center in Everett and his condition is unknown at this time.  The Sheriff’s Office will continue investigating this incident.
