Whidbey Island Bank Robbery

BOTHELL, Wash. – On July 5, 2013 at about 5:30 PM SNOPAC received a report of a bank robbery in progress at the Whidbey Island Bank in the 20600 block of Bothell Everett Highway.  The suspect had left with an undisclosed amount of money before police arrived. 

A short time after the robbery Bothell Police reported that they had information the robbery suspect was northbound on I-405, towards I-5 and they were attempting to locate him.  The suspect was described as a white male, 5’6” in his 50’s, wearing a white sweatshirt and black pants.

The suspect was tracked to the area of I-5 & 236 Street SW, Mountlake Terrace where units from the Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol, King County Sheriff’s Office and area police agencies searched for the suspect until around 7:30 PM without success locating him at the time.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation also responded to the bank to assist in the investigation.  Law enforcement is asking for the public’s help solving this crime.
