Detectives Seek Witnesses to Arlington Car Crash

ARLINGTON, Wash. - Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed a vehicle collision that left an 18 year-old Stanwood woman, a passenger in the vehicle, dead at the scene last Sunday.  The incident occurred around 11:30 AM on February 16^th when a black Lexus traveling on 240^th St NE at a high rate of speed left the roadway between 123^rd Ave NE and 131^st Ave NE.  The 19 year-old male driver and an 18 year-old male passenger, both from Arlington, sustained minor injuries.

Detectives are interested in speaking to one witness in particular: a white male believed to be in his 50’s or 60’s with gray hair and wearing a gray sweatshirt walking eastbound on 240^th St NE at the time of the accident.  Anyone else with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office Anonymous Tip Line at 425-388-3845.

Release of the name of the female victim is pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner. The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit.
