Detectives Seek Witnesses to Arlington Car Crash

ARLINGTON, Wash. - Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed a vehicle collision that left an 18 year-old Stanwood woman, a passenger in the vehicle, dead at the scene last Sunday. The incident occurred around 11:30 AM on February 16th when a black Lexus traveling on 240th St NE at a high rate of speed left the roadway between 123rd Ave NE and 131st Ave NE. The 19 year-old male driver and an 18 year-old male passenger, both from Arlington, sustained minor injuries.
Detectives are interested in speaking to one witness in particular: a white male believed to be in his 50’s or 60’s with gray hair and wearing a gray sweatshirt walking eastbound on 240th St NE at the time of the accident. Anyone else with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office Anonymous Tip Line at 425-388-3845.
Release of the name of the female victim is pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner. The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit.
