Washington’s Most Wanted and Crime Stoppers have selected Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Detective Peter Teske as the August 2013 “Officer of the Month”. Detective Teske was recognized for his investigative work in finding a vulnerable 14 year-old girl on August 16th after she went missing from an Everett group home. The victim was located after the detective spent many long hours following up on tips from the public and looking for her, including driving up and down Aurora Ave. in Seattle after his shift had ended.
"I was extremely concerned for this child,” Det. Teske. “I knew it would be like finding a needle in a haystack…a moving needle in a haystack.”
“We are very proud of Det. Teske’s work and impressed with the job he did in finding the missing girl,” said Lt. Kathi Lang, supervisor of the Sheriff’s Office Investigative Unit.
The Washington’s Most Wanted segment featuring Det. Teske airs this Friday and Saturday night at 10:30 PM on Q13.
