Sheriff’s Office Investigates Shooting in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD, Wash. – As the investigation into tonight’s shooting continues, new details have emerged. It appears that a 54 year-old female was home with her 21 year-old son when two men attempted to force their way into the house. The son shot both men, striking one in the back and one in the arm. The men, both 20 years of age, fled the area and were picked up by Lynnwood Police. Both were taken into custody and transported to the hospital.
There will be no further updates this evening.
Around 10 p.m. this evening, two males were shot as they attempted to burglarize an occupied home. The two men fled the home on foot and were located near the 15800 block of Hwy 99 by law enforcement. Both men were injured and have been transported to the hospital; the nature of the injuries is unknown. The person who shot the men is cooperating with law enforcement. Assistance on this call was provided by Lynnwood Police Department.
