The driver of the vehicle believed to be involved in a hit and run accident which left a 47 year-old Index man and his dog dead has come forward. Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office investigators have seized the driver’s vehicle and are still investigating the accident. No arrests have been made at this time.
On Saturday, August 4 at approximately 11 PM, Stacey Lain Broyles was walking eastbound with his dog on Index-Galena Rd. At the 50700 block, both the man and dog were struck head-on by a vehicle and died later from injuries sustained at the accident.
