LAKE STEVENS, Wash. –The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information from the public about an attempted luring incident south of Lake Stevens last week.  On Wednesday, May 21 a 14 year-old girl was walking near the 1700 block of 114th Ave SE at about 6 p.m. when she noticed a white van with blue stripes following her.  According to the girl the van pulled in front of her, blocking her path of travel.  The driver asked the girl where she was going and if she needed a ride.  The girl reported that she became frightened and ran from the area.  She also reported that it appeared as if the driver took a photo of her with a cell phone.

The driver was described as a heavy-set male in his late 40’s with brown hair, glasses, a mustache and a blue baseball cap.

Anyone with information about this incident or the driver of the van is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office anonymous tip line at 425-388-3845.
