The Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force tonight recovered several stolen weapons – including what appears to be a fully-functional 20 mm anti-tank/sniper rifle – after serving a search warrant tonight on a storage unit in Everett.
Probable cause for the search was established after a 38 year-old male was arrested by the Task Force yesterday for attempted delivery of a controlled substance. During the arrest, approximately 1 lb. of meth and ½ lb of heroin were seized, along with three handguns (two of which were stolen) and approximately $40K in cash. The male was booked into the Snohomish County jail last night on $250K bail.
When the Task Force searched the storage locker at the 3800 block of Smith Ave earlier this afternoon, they recovered 12 military assault rifles, five of which are confirmed stolen, and the anti-tank rifle.
