Detectives Investigate Cause of Fatal Collision

TULALIP, Wash. — Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating the cause of a one car collision on Marine Dr at Hermosa Beach Dr that left one person dead and another seriously injured.  A 47 year-old female died at the scene and a 49 year-old male, believed to be the driver, was transported to Providence Hospital. 

No other vehicles were involved. Speed and alcohol were both believed to be causing factors, but the incident remains under investigation. 

The incident was reported around 8:30 p.m.  Marine Dr was closed between Hermosa Beach Dr and 83^rd Pl NW for several hours for the accident investigation.
