Deputy Injured After Collision with Horse

Arlington, Wash. — A Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputy sustained minor injuries last night after his patrol car struck a horse that had escaped captivity and was on the roadway. The deputy was on duty and en route to a domestic violence call around midnight when the collision occurred at the 3900 block of Stanwood Bryant Rd.  The deputy sustained minor injuries and the horse died at the scene.  The patrol car was damaged beyond repair. No other vehicles were involved.

The deputy has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 2007 and is on leave to recover from his injuries.
