Body Recovered from Pond Identified, Death Ruled Suicide

SNOHOMISH, Wash. – The body of woman found in a small retention pond near the Snohomish River last week has been identified by the Medical Examiner and her death was determined to be suicide by drowning. Sixty-six-year-old Bouaphan Na’s body was discovered in the pond around 1 a.m. by law enforcement near the 4500 block of Lowell Snohomish River Rd. on April 22. Na’s car was parked nearby and left unlocked with her keys and identification inside. Her body was recovered later that day by the Sheriff’s Office dive team. The Major Crime Unit investigation into her death is closed.
