ARLINGTON, Wash. - The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team recovered the body of a 21 year-old Granite Falls man from an island in South Fork of the Stillaguamish River. The man was reported to be unresponsive and floating in a shallow part of the river via a 911 call around 6 p.m. Aid arrived and began administering CPR. The Dive Team arrived a short time later and moved the man from the island to the banks of the river.
Drugs are believed to have been a contributing factor in his death, but cause and manner (as well as identification) are pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
