On Saturday, September 22nd at approximately 10:30 AM, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a collision at the intersection of Atlas and Barker roads in the Brier-area of unincorporated Snohomish County.  When deputies arrived, they discovered an adult male bicyclist had collided with a pick-up truck.  The bicyclist, a 24 year-old Lynnwood man, died at the scene.  At this time, investigators believe that the bicyclist may have been traveling too fast to safely negotiate traffic and the curve in the road.  Investigators also do not believe that alcohol was a factor in the accident.  No charges have been filed at this time against the truck driver, a 43 year-old male from Mountlake Terrace.

The Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit continues to investigate the accident.
