One Injured in South County Shooting

Everett, Wash. – A young boy was critically injured in a shooting incident in the Everett area of unincorporated Snohomish County today.
Around 12:30 p.m., Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of an 11 year-old male who had been shot. Deputies arrived and initially had information that an unknown suspect had shot the boy and fled. A K-9 track and further investigation revealed the boy had possibly been shot accidentally by an older sibling. The case is being investigated by Major Crimes detectives who will determine the facts surrounding the incident.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. There is not believed to be any additional danger to the public at this time.
