Edmonds, WASH. – Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a Monday night shooting that left one dead near here.

About 10:56 PM, Snohomish County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to multiple reports of shots fired in the 15900 block of 56th Ave W.  This is near the Meadowdale area in unincorporated Snohomish County.  Initial 911 reports were that multiple shots had been fired and at least one caller reported that someone had been shot.

Deputies arrived and located a male deceased in a vehicle on a large residential property.  The male is believed to have been shot.  While there is no suspect information immediately available, detectives are interviewing possible witnesses and will continue to investigate through the night.

The location is a primarily residential area.  The property where the shooting occurred consists of an unusually large property for the area surrounded by several neighborhoods.

As part of ensuring the safety of the community and as an attempt to locate possible suspects, deputies deployed a K9 in attempt to locate any suspects who may have fled on foot.  No one was located.

Anyone with any information about the incident are being asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line (425) 388-3845.
