Collision Detectives Investigate Overnight Two-Car Crash

SNOHOMISH, Wash. – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit investigated an overnight two car head-on collision at the intersection of S Machias Rd and Virginia St that resulted in both drivers being transported to the hospital. The collision between a passenger vehicle and a pickup truck was reported just before midnight. The driver of the pickup, a 41 year-old Snohomish man, was believed to be the at-fault driver and is suspected of driving under the influence.  He was transported with what are believed to be serious injuries to the spine.  The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 20 year-old woman, was transported to the hospital with two broken legs. 

The collision remains under investigation.
