SULTAN, Wash. – The Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Unit located a 37 year-old Monroe man after he was reported missing by his family earlier today.  The man was found deceased after being spotted by SnoHawk1 this afternoon on an island in the Skykomish River, where he had been camping and canoeing.  His death is not considered suspicious at this time, but cause and manner are pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.

The man left on Friday, putting in on the Skykomish River near Sultan, and setting up camp on the island.  When he didn't return home as planned, family members called the Sheriff's Office.

No additional information is available at this time and identification of the deceased will be released by the Medical Examiner.
