At about 1800 hours Snohomish County Search and Rescue units, including a number of Dive Team, Technical Water Response, Volunteer staff, SNOHAWK One helicopter and hovercraft units completed a search for a reported drowning victim on the Sauk River near Darrington.   While no victims or the reporting party were found, remnants of a camp site were found near the river and according to fire staff, a couple of people were seen in the area as fire personnel arrived at the original call. Deputies believe this was a false 911 call and will continue to follow up on the incident.
