GOLD BAR, Wash. –  Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Unit personnel and volunteers are resuming their search today for a missing 18 year-old woman who is believed to have fallen in the North Fork of the Wallace River last night at Wallace Falls State Park.  Friends of the woman called 911 around 7:45 p.m. yesterday. They reported that they had climbed over the railing to cross the river to an island and, as they were returning to the trail, they heard the woman cry out, followed by the sound of a splash in the water.  Various fire and Sheriff's Office units searched the area last night until operations were suspended at nightfall.  The woman's shoes and a GoPro stick were found at the base of the falls, but the woman is still missing.  The woman is from Las Vegas, Nevada, attending a local community college.

The search will be conducted by air with SnoHAWK1 and on the ground along the river.
