SNOHOMISH, Wash. – Major Crimes Unit detectives arrested two 14 year-old males last night after a 47 year-old Snohomish man was stabbed outside his home at the 100 block of Ave E.  Around 11 p.m. Thursday night, a 911 call was made from a woman who said that her husband had been stabbed outside their residence.  The suspects, who had slashed the tires on the victim’s vehicles outside, had fled the area but were located by K9 units nearby and taken into custody. The victim was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center.

The victim told detectives that earlier in the evening he had heard a knock at the door, but did not see anyone outside. He stayed near the door watching through the peephole when he saw a figure approaching the door. The victim opened the door and confronted a male in a grey hoodie on his property. The male, one of the 14 year-old suspects, was holding a knife and a confrontation ensued between the victim and the male with the knife which resulted in the victim sustaining stab wounds on his leg and chest. Another 14 year-old male threw a bike at the victim in what was believed to be an attempt to free the suspect of the victim, who had grabbed him in the scuffle.

Both suspects were booked in the Denny Juvenile Justice Center for 2nd degree assault.
